We are organizing women-only backcountry freeride camps in the Pallas fells:
Upcoming dates: February 26th – March 1st, 2026
Join us for an unforgettable adventure on the off-piste terrain in the Pallas area with our professional team. Whether you’re on skis or a snowboard, this camp is for you! You can stay at our Hanurila Adventure Lodge for 3 nights, and transport will be arranged if needed. We also offer rental equipment for backcountry skiing: skis, skins, boots & poles for 110 EUR for 3 days, or a splitboard, skins & poles for 110 EUR for 3 days.
There are 3 different package options available for the women-only backcountry camp. When registering, please specify your preferred package in the online store. The reservation fee for all options is 300 EUR, and the remaining balance can be paid via the online store. We will send a link to the remaining payment to those who have paid the reservation fee.
Option 1:
Price: 800 EUR includes:
- Shared transport from Levi to our Hanurila Lodge on arrival day, and shared transport back to Levi after the last ski day, with direct transfer to Kittilä airport. We will reach Levi by 17:30.
- Shared transport during skiing days
- An experienced and inspiring guide & avalanche safety instructor Elina, as well as trip manager & ski instructor Teija, will accompany you throughout the trip. This all-women team will ensure you have a memorable experience.
- Learn about safe freeride route planning and avalanche safety
- 3 guided ski days with route planning
- Avalanche rescue equipment loaned for the trip
- Evening activities at Hanurila Adventure Lodge, including sauna, cooking, and socializing
Option 2: Shared Accommodation Package
Price: 700 EUR includes:
- Shared accommodation for 3 nights at the beautiful Hanurila Adventure Lodge (includes bedding & towel)
- An experienced, inspiring, and friendly guide & avalanche safety instructor Elina, and trip manager & ski instructor Teija for the duration of the trip
- Learn about safe freeride route planning and avalanche safety
- 3 guided ski days with route planning
- Avalanche rescue equipment loaned for the trip
- Evening activities including cooking, sauna, hot tub heating, etc.
Option 3: Own Accommodation Package
Price: 420 EUR includes:
- An experienced, inspiring, and friendly guide & avalanche safety instructor Elina, and trip manager & ski instructor Teija
- Learn about safe freeride route planning and avalanche safety
- 3 guided ski days
- Avalanche rescue equipment loaned for the trip
To secure your spot at the camp, please pay the 300 EUR reservation fee for any of the above options. The remaining balance will be invoiced a month before the trip. If you don’t require accommodation or transport, please mention that in the comment section of the online store.
Prices do not include:
- Insurance
- Flights or train tickets to Kittilä or Kolari
- Meals. We make the grocery shopping & prepare meals together and divide the cost.
- Possible lunches or coffees at hotels during skiing days at Pallas or Jerisjärvi
Program for February 26th – March 1st, 2026:
Participants staying at Hanurila in shared accommodation will arrive on the evening of February 26th by 18:00. The first evening will be spent preparing for the upcoming ski days – adjusting gear, packing backpacks, informal socializing, and cooking together. Those not staying at Hanurila will meet on the morning of February 28th at Pallas. The exact meeting point will be shared with participants closer to the event.
If you arrive on the morning flight to Kittilä on February 26th, you’ll have a great opportunity to ski at Levi slopes before heading to the backcountry.
We will make day trips to Pallastunturi, Keimiötunturi, and Lommoltunturi. Conditions permitting, we’ll choose the best slopes each day. We’ll plan the routes together in the evenings. Ski days will begin at 10:00 and end around 16:00-17:00. The official evening program includes planning the next day’s route, with a focus on selecting safe routes and avoiding avalanche terrain.
On the departure day after the ski day, a shared transfer will take you to Levi, and from there, directly to Kittilä airport, ensuring you catch the 18:30 flight to Helsinki.
This trip is designed for those who are newer to backcountry skiing or have some experience but still feel unsure about going out independently. It’s ideal for you if you’ve recently acquired backcountry gear or taken an avalanche safety or freeride technique course but still feel the need for guidance and practice in safe ascent and descent line selection and ski technique. You’ll receive encouragement and excellent company in the backcountry.
We’ll adjust the skiing days according to the group’s skill levels, and based on conditions, we might divide into two groups. Our goal is to enjoy the Lapland fells.
In the evenings, we’ll plan the next day’s ski trip, so you’ll learn valuable skills in safe route planning. We’ll enjoy the peaceful nature, good food, and especially the Lapland fells, both uphill and downhill, and on flat terrain.

Prerequisites:
- Ability to ski on intermediate slopes or some experience skiing off-piste terrain
Required gear:
- Backcountry skiing gear: skis, boots, bindings, skins, and adjustable poles
- Snowboarders: splitboard, snowboard boots, skins, and adjustable poles
- Avalanche rescue equipment
- Weather-appropriate clothing, a jacket, backpack, thermos, and snacks for the days
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, ski goggles, and ski helmet
Equipment Rental:
You don’t need to bring your skis or snowboard as we offer high-quality freeride equipment rentals for the event:
- Skis, skins, boots & poles for 110 EUR for 3 days
- Splitboard, skins & poles for 110 EUR for 3 days

The minimum age for our trips is 14 years, and the course language is Finnish unless otherwise specified. We recommend purchasing accident insurance that covers skiing and snowboarding in off-piste areas.
